Welcome to the Gasol website (‘Website’), operated by Gasol Stations (U) Ltd (‘Gasol’, ‘we’, ‘our’, or ‘us’), a licensed Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution company. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of this Website immediately.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers who access the Website for any purpose, including browsing product information, placing orders, or requesting service.

Gasol is a utility company specializing in the distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Our Website serves as an information and transactional platform enabling customers to learn about our products, request deliveries, and manage their accounts.

3. Construction and Terminology

The titles of the sections of these Terms and Conditions are for convenience of reference only and are not to be considered in interpreting these Terms and Conditions.

4. Use of the Website

4.1 Permitted Use

4.2 Prohibited Use

You are strictly prohibited from:

5.1 Eligibility

5.5 Text Message Verification

Gasol may use text message verification both at registration and login. You acknowledge and accept that standard text-messaging rates may apply, and Gasol is in no way responsible for these charges nor will you be reimbursed for any such charges.

5.6 Account Suspension

Gasol reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that are used for fraudulent purposes.

6. Orders, Pricing and Payments

6.1 Product Orders

All LPG product orders placed through the Website are subject to stock availability and confirmation by Gasol. Receipt of an order confirmation email does not constitute a binding contract until Gasol has verified stock availability and confirmed the order via a separate dispatch notification.

6.2 Pricing

Prices displayed on the Website are in Uganda Shillings (UGX) and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Gasol reserves the right to adjust prices without prior notice, subject to applicable consumer protection legislation. Prices are confirmed at the time of order dispatch.

6.3 Payment

Gasol accepts payment via the methods listed on the Website at checkout. All payment transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. Gasol does not store your full payment card details on its servers. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

6.4 Failed Transactions

If a payment transaction fails or is reversed after delivery has been made, Gasol reserves the right to pursue recovery of the outstanding amount, including through legal processes where necessary.

7. Delivery of LPG Products

Delivery schedules, coverage areas, and lead times are detailed on the Website and are subject to change. Gasol shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, supply chain disruptions, load shedding, or regulatory restrictions on LPG transport.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that delivery addresses are accurate and that a responsible adult is present to receive the delivery.

Risk in the product passes to the customer upon delivery.

8. Safety Obligations

LPG is a hazardous material which can pose significant dangers if not handled properly. By using our Website and ordering our products, you acknowledge and agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable safety regulations governing the storage and use of LPG
  • Ensure that LPG appliances and storage equipment meet safety standards
  • Not tamper with, modify, or attempt to refill Gasol-branded cylinders independently
  • Report suspected gas leaks or safety hazards to the relevant emergency services immediately

Gasol provides safety information on its Website as a general guide only. It does not substitute professional safety assessments or regulatory compliance obligations on the part of the customer.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of Gasol Stations (U) Ltd or its content suppliers and is protected by Uganda’s intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any Website content without Gasol’s express written permission.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

10.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

The information on the Website is provided on an “as is” basis without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

Gasol’s total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Gasol in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall first be referred to mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
